Mission

The mission of the Community First Non-Profit Hub is to strengthen the City of Temple’s nonprofit ecosystem by fostering collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose. In partnership with the City and community stakeholders, the Hub provides accessible workspaces, training, and resources that empower local organizations to expand their reach and impact. Together, we cultivate a culture of service, sustainability, and civic engagement—building a stronger, more connected Temple where every resident has the opportunity to thrive.

LARGE COMPUTER LAB/
LECTURE HALL

Our large computer lab and lecture hall is a flexible, technology-rich space designed to accommodate group trainings, community workshops, and collaborative learning sessions. Equipped with high-speed internet, modern workstations, and presentation technology, this space is ideal for hosting large classes, seminars, and certification programs. It allows organizations and educators to deliver hands-on training to dozens of participants at once while encouraging open discussion and knowledge sharing.

Capacity: 26 Classroom Style, 56 Theatre Style, 28 Board Room Style

SMALL COMPUTER LAB/
LECTURE HALL

The small computer lab and lecture hall offers a more intimate environment for focused learning. Perfect for smaller group sessions, tutoring, or advanced workshops, it provides the same high-quality technology as the larger lab but in a setting that fosters deeper engagement and personalized instruction. This space is also ideal for pilot programs, small-team trainings, or collaborative project work.

BOARDROOM

Our boardroom is a professional and welcoming meeting space designed for planning, brainstorming, and decision-making. Outfitted with conference technology, presentation screens, and comfortable seating, it’s perfect for strategic sessions, inter-organization meetings, and community roundtables. The board room serves as a hub for leadership discussions where ideas are shared and collective action is shaped.

Michael Weaver serves as the Class Logistics Coordinator, managing the full lifecycle of student class scheduling—from initial coordination through follow-up—so leadership can focus on program impact instead of back-and-forth communication. He coordinates student and instructor availability, sends structured email and text confirmations, tracks attendance, confirms class completion, and ensures the registration platform is updated accurately and consistently. Operating with professionalism, clarity, and efficiency, Michael supports existing classes through organized logistics and reliable tracking, while strategic decisions, curriculum design, and final approvals remain under human oversight.

NatureNook is a 6-week outdoor STEM program serving youth in grades K–6 within a 930 sq ft space divided between grass and concrete. The program uses nature-based exploration, engineering challenges, math activities, and light technology integration to build early STEM confidence and curiosity.
